But @realDonaldTrump will keep saying how he’s done more for the steel and aluminum industry than “anyone ever has...ever in history” and his base will believe him since they don’t believe in fact-checking

1. Actually, it appears he may have after all. But...

that's only because he made imported steel and aluminum more expensive, allowing domestic producers to raise their prices. This is how he ran his businesses, and is all he knows.

In the longer run, this is not good since it affects everything else down the line. Note that his businesses have almost all disappeared.

He remains, as ever, and ignorant, inept, asshole.

And do not forget that he said he'll be gone before the bottom falls out, so he won't get the blame. Another big part of his business strategy.
