Evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr and his Miami pool attendant friend are sued over a joint business venture

Evangelical leader and staunch Donald Trump supporter Jerry Falwell Jr has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit over a Miami Beach hostel, which he had invested in along with a young pool boy.

The civil complaint that was first filed in Miami-Dade County in 2015, then dismissed and refiled in August 2017, accuses Falwell, his wife Rebecca, their adult son Trey and their business associate Giancarlo Granda, of failing to share profits from the real estate venture with a father-and-son duo.

The lawsuit, which was first reported by BuzzFeed News on Thursday, was brought against Falwell, 55, and the others by Jesus Fernandez Sr and Jesus Fernandez Jr, who claimed that they helped start the Alton Hostel in Miami Beach in 2013, only to be excluded from the deal.
