Nothing pisses me off more...

Nothing pisses me off more than people saying Democrats need to grow a spine.

That was just said about Schumer in the Oval Office today. He should have been more forceful and direct. I disagree, he played the part well. Nancy attacked and Chuck sat there chuckling and refusing to make eye contact. It was a magnifiecent display of disrespect to the pResident of the United States and that humiliation enraged the man.

Well played Pelosi and Schumer, well played.

that pretty much sums it up.

Nobody laughs at the boss. At that meeting, you saw who true leaders are and how they act. Trump is not a leader. At best, he is a bad boss, always barking orders and slamming anybody who dares criticize him.

Pelosi is a leader, and she doesn't get de-railed by petty shit when she has a mission. With 5 kids of her own and a houseful of grandkids, she knows how to handle bratty little snots like Trump.

His base will say how much they love him, but they don't know what love is. Trump got owned, on live TV, and acted like the spoiled brat he basically is.

Schumer did exactly what he needed to. They both knew 45 couldn't handle Pelosi going after him and he'd turn to the 'man'. Schumer played right into that and reeled him right in.

Brilliant.

. . .i think "orchestrated" is overstated.

It was the idiot's idea to bring in live cameras. Pelosi and Schumer didn't arrange that.

They played him like a fiddle once the thing got rolling, but they didn't write the score for that pathetic little opera PINO put on.

That constant smirk at Trump’s temper tantrum, calling him out as a liar. Having to brag that he won North Dakota and Indiana was funny in itself.

Then letting Trump rant about owning the shut down after Nancy pushed him on not having the votes was the show I have been waiting for. Trump came unglued, had a temper tantrum for all to see.

Trump is imploding as his many dirty deeds come to light.

Donny Deutsch said it best that the investigations will not end. Trump has destroyed his brand that he built on lies, cheating people. The House of cards is coming down.

on "centrists." They are pushing "the spineless center" who have to be "watched like hawks" or else they'll cave to Republicans. And on and on about how weak Pelosi and Schumer are totally going to shove money at Trump to build the wall, they just KNOW IT.

And Nancy Pelosi inspired it by pushing back, refusing to be diminished by Trumpski. Together they made Trumpski look arrogant, belligerent and uninformed. Same old, same old but in front of the press and for the world to see and hear. Again.

Reportedly, the sad little man felt he was setup when it was his idea to have the press in attendance. For transparency's sake. LOL. The whole thing backfired on him; he was transparently revealed.

"More forceful and direct"?!?

Schumer was the one goading Trump to get madder. Then when Trump would turn to Nancy, who was cool and factual, he was still cranked up and really sounded brat-like. Nancy kept explaining how government works. Chuck with the Pinochios, shutdown (louder), "Right now!" (louder), interruption, (louder), (interrupts Trumpy). Back to Nancy -- calm, "Article I", interrupted, loud, back to Chuck -- higher and higher.

It was tag-team beauty.

It looked to me like the two of them had decided who would take the lead, or maybe it was Trump who decided he'd zero in on. But Pelosi was the focus of Trump.

Schumer is a tad weak for a leader of a political party, IMO. But I don't think he was at the meeting, necessarily. I didn't notice him much, frankly. But he was fine. He did no harm and did say a couple of things. I loved the way he looked at the camera and smiled.

Yeah...I think the two of them decided beforehand that Pelosi would be front and center, for whatever reason. Maybe just because Trump finds her more irritating than Schumer. Maybe because Trump's main concern was getting House votes for the wall. Who knows. It was a good meeting, though.

He majored in economics and history and did quite well. He started appreciating The Count thirty years ago, when we began watching Sesame Street with our children.

Schumer is smart. Trump is not. Schumer did what he was supposed to do. Thank you for this post, sheshe.
