1. There were a lot of moving parts to this.

My take is that he didn't cooperate all that much with SDNY, but then cooperated a great deal on the broader scope of Mueller's investigation.

You have to admit every crime that you ever committed with the SDNY.

5. He totally rolled on Trump but wasn't completely forthcoming

with respect to some of his own unrelated criminal activities. I think maybe he decided to get even with Trump once he realized that Trump wasn't going to help him in any way - Cohen made it pretty obvious shortly after he was busted that he was angling for some help from Trump, like financial assistance and especially a pardon, if necessary. But when Trump threw him under the bus and pretended like he was just one of many lawyers and he never did much work for him, Cohen saw the light and decided to tell Mueller everything he knew about Trump. But SDNY wants a complete colonoscopy and apparently Cohen declined to tell them about all of his previous sketchy and possibly mob-related dealings related to his other businesses.

3. Basically....

He dumped on Trump for Campaign and Russian-related matters.

He seems to have held back info on business matters... likely because his crimes were very substantial and/or he is protecting other people.

I personally think there is something very, very dark in his closet and he knows that revealing it, while it might get Trump, would probably send him away for a long time too, so he's taking his chances. I predict he will come to regret that decision.

4. MANY crimes, some including the mob

were not something he was willing to share. That's why he never entered into a Cooperation Agreement (like the rest did). It wound up hurting him in the end because they knew he was holding back but I don't think those crimes had anything to do with donnie and not something Mueller was even interested in. Only the NY court.

7. Yep. Three years in jail for not telling all, or no time in jail and killed by the mob

I couldn't do prison, I'm claustrophobic and have no desire to spend my life looking over my shoulder.

6. The Office of Special Counsel says he's been cooperative with *OSC* but SDNY says he hasn't

been cooperative enough with *SDNY*. Different sets of investigators/prosecutors working on different (though related) matters in different locations have had different experiences with his level of cooperation.

He has been left with no choice than to hold back some useful info, he even backed off from entering agreement so as not to become obligation It all ended up hurting him eventually because they knew he was really holding back. https://tinyurl.com/ycowv4vr
