Trump is like an old-time Mob boss, hiding in plain sight

while his minions are spilling their guts to the feds. He's still trying to pretend he has the power, but is really quaking in his boots, because he knows those underlings have the goods on him and are delivering those goods.

He's still threatening people, ordering them around, but one by one they're heading out the back door to talk to the nice FBI guy waiting outside. Trump may be deluding himself into thinking he'll come out OK, but that's an illusion.

Meanwhile the head of the other big gang has stopped supporting him. Putin has backed away from Trump, now. He's done with him, and there's nothing more to gain from him. Putin is leaving him to swing in the breeze and is shifting over to other tyrants.

Watching yesterday as Schumer and Pelosi had their way with Trump, embarrassing him in his own house, I was watching Mike Pence, sitting there silently with his eyes closed. He knows where this is going. He has kept himself out of the spotlight all through this mess.

Trump's done. He just hasn't recognized it yet. Nobody wants to come near him. Even Giuliani is out setting up his own deals for when Trump is just another failed nobody. Kelly's going, and nobody wants that job. Trump's about to fire some other folks in the West Wing, but who will he find to take their places? Everyone is looking at the situation and thinking, "No way. I'm not going to sign on to a losing team."

It's all going to come apart at the seams now, and once the seam begins to unravel, the process accelerates. Soon, the would-be Emperor will be left standing in his underwear, with nobody there to bring him a new suit.

Hey, Donwald! When your consigliere has flipped and is talking to the feds, the game is just about over, dude. Better start packing.

What he doesn't understand is, in the past he did in the closet, in the darkness, now he is out in the light of day. I love watching him squirm.

Nothing in his life prepared him for being on the world stage and the scrutiny that comes with it.

The highest "made man" in the Mafia to ever turn state's evidence. That led Mueller to be able to successfully prosecute and imprison John "The Dapper Don" Gotti.
