Nancy Pelosi will be the first female President of the United States. Hear me out.

There is so much corroborated information out there about the Trump crime family and its associates that Trump is going to resign from Office. This is even more likely because of the sentence given to Cohen. NY AG will be going after the Trump family with a vengeance. There is even enough damaging info out there about Pence (Flynn probably gave it to Mueller).

Things will get so hot for Trump and family that he will strike a deal with the legal powers both in NY and with Mueller to allow him to resign office AND Pence also to avoid prosecution and jail. The list of potential crimes is long. The only way the deal will be sealed is if Pence also resigns. Third in line to the Presidency is the Speaker of the House. BINGO!!

Nancy will serve out the remaining 12-18 months as first female POTUS.

Positive vibes needed to bring this about.

I'm ready.

It's less palatable. But not stranger than a president and vice president simultaneously resigning to avoid jail and thereby making a member of the opposite party president.

All things considered its hardly surprising that this country elected a corrupt and unqualified individual to be president and it wouldn't be surprising if some day in the future it happened again.

zero chance that republican senators will cooperate to get rid of both *in the same hour*, without appointing a new vice-president in between.

pelosi will become president only by the usual theoretical means, basically just donnie and pence dying at the same time. maybe, maybe, one of them is removed and the other keels over in the same hour.

personally, if both of them are removed, that's the best case scenario even if some random republican is appointed veep then takes over like ford did.

The Constitution is law behind this. The Senate and the rest of us will only know about it after the resignations are in place.
It is wholly within the realm of the "possible." It may not be in the realm of the "probable."

congress is involved in both impeachment and removal as well as in the confirmation of appointments in the event offices, such as the vice-presidency, become vacant.

prosecutors are extremely unlikely to be negotiating them quitting their job as part of a deal to settle criminal charges, especially if it's done for two different defendants, in a way that transfers control of the white house to the other political party.

that would rightfully be viewed as an extraordinarily partisan act one that mueller and team would steer very clear of.

if either of them were to go for whatever reason, and democrats in the house were to keep the vice-presidency open (in order to keep open the possibiliity of pelosi becoming president), then republicans would promise whichever one of them remains as president the moon to keep them from resigning.

it really can't happen, not without an unexpected death.

but then the other would never go before the term is up.

even if it were totally up to donnie and/or pence, there's still no way they'd ever turn the white house over to pelosi or any democrat.

the speaker of the house would automatically become president, no confirmation needed.

in practice, though, if the vice-presidency is vacant, no way in hell donnie is handing the white house over to pelosi.

c'mon, gimme a break.

pelosi's just plain not becoming president without an unexpected death.

the best case fantasy is that it requires only one unexpected death instead of two.

to give the Dotard a swift kick in the balls, which is EXACTLY what our presidential nominee will need to do to win this time. Leading the way on impeachment will also be a HUGE plus in her favor!!
