I will never understand "blind loyalty"

How do people like Trump get so many people to commit crimes for them, put their lives, their families in jeopardy? It's like they have no survival instincts. It's a type of madness. I guess that's what greed does to you, I don't know I have never been greedy.

I can be loyal to people, but if they asked me to lie or commit a crime for them I would tell them to get fucked.

Everybody around trump* had to see that he has an absolute inability to be loyal. Did they all think their relationship was different?

I used to watch people at work who declared themselves to be best friends with someone, and then I'd watch and hear them dissing on that individual, behind their back. I never, for an instant, ever trusted someone who would do that because if they did that to one person, they'd do it to me, too. Common sense.

of power and over time believes that it is his. Eventually he convinces himself that he too is untouchable because he has gotten away with bullying and ignoring the norms that the rest of us have to live by.

but normal people who are greedy will stop the second it means breaking the law.

It's back up and go the other way. All the greed in the world isn't worth going to jail over or bringing that kind of pain to your loved ones.

They can call it blind loyalty to their heart's content, but seeing the millions they made off of it tells me they didn't give a shit because of the money they got out of it.

many pro-forced pregnancy advocates believe that preventing abortions means saving millions of "babies", and that's such an overwhelming moral good that petty issues like espionage or campaign finance violations or tax cuts for the rich or emoluments or paying off porn stars or whatever, none of that matter if you're doing it as part of a mission to save millions of "babies".

foxnews and hate radio have built on that to the point that many of their cult simply believe that the republican party is the party of god and good and the democratic party is the party of the devil and evil, period.

it simply does not compute for them that a republican politician could be doing something morally wrong. it's like trying to imagine an angel or a saint or even god himself committing a crime. they'll sooner change the facts than change their view about even one republican politician.
