Here's why Michelle Obama's book "Becoming" is a "must read."

It's an outstanding autobiography about Michelle. But at the times she refers to Barack, she reveals to us what a president should be.

Daily briefings, unexpected events that require his immediate and full attention, and, at bedtime, a thick leather bound briefing put on his night table that must be read.

In eight years in office, Barack Obama had to struggle to find time to be with Michelle, Malia and Sasha. The rest of the time, he was doing what the President of the United States must do. And it's the hardest job in the world.

Michelle only mentions Trump briefly, here and there. But it's obvious that Trump could no more handle the responsibilities of being president that a sardine could write "Hamlet."

If you haven't yet read Michelle Obama's book, "Becoming," get a copy from the library, or Amazon, or wherever you get your books. Treat yourself. At some points, it will bring tears to your eyes. At others, it will enlighten you. But most of all, it will instill in you the need to never stop learning and never stop striving to improve yourself.

And if you're still trying to think of a gift for a special friend, Michelle's book would be perfect.

Reagan didn't do that much reading. Neither did Bush II. Bush I probably did. Clinton did.

It is written with deep humility and honesty. As much as I loved her before, I now love her more.

A moment that made me smile: As kids, Michelle and I had the same bedroom set from Sears. It's the same one Sally Draper had in Mad Men.

She only mentioned 10 or 15 times that she wanted it,

We picked it up last night.

Last year the bookstores ran out of my requested Christmas present, Chernow's biography of the second greatest President of the 19th century, in my opinion, Ulysses Grant.

Chernow gets it, and Michelle surely knows that if anyone ever made America great in recent times, she's married to him.
