I heard this tonight on MSNBC and want to see if I understand it.

The fucking moron can be impeached then indicted after he leaves office. Since there are state charges he can't be pardoned for those crimes.

And if the DOJ changes their opinion about indicting a sitting POTUS (rep Swalwell said this DOJ's unwritten rule can be changed) than he can be indicted and won't have to go through impeachment first.

Eventually he will be indicted, it is just a matter of time.

Also, the Dems want to wait for Mueller before deciding which they want to do at this point.

They didn't mention if found guilty whether or not he can go to jail while still in office.

Am I understanding this correctly?

he should probably avoid the Southern District of New York...

Seriously, if he were indicted while in office (unprecedented) I believe they would simply ignore whatever subpeona or warrant is issued and a constitutional crisis ensues.

there is nothing that says the state of New York can't. It could get really interesting if they did.

If it got to be too much for him, that's what the VP is for. He could stand in while he is in court. I imagine that they could do it via teleconference.

not to have to travel. Take away his golf cart and he probably wouldn’t even need an ankle monitor. I think this could work.

...I must point out that the American people were deceived in the 2016 election because the truth regarding Trump was withheld from them.

THAT must NOT happen again, and that's why I advocate releasing unredacted indictments (or reports) soon so as to quash any momentum gathering for a campaign for 2020. We people must go forward fully informed, or we will lose our republic because of perceived protections that must be offered a sitting president (despite his illegitimacy that renders him unworthy of protections).

11. consider why the DoJ has that policy

The reason the DoJ wants to avoid indicting a sitting president is two-fold:

1. It could be abused for political purposes;

2. The Constitution states that the House has the sole power of impeachment, which is the way to level charges against (indict) the head of the Executive branch, of which the DoJ is a part.

The argument for indicting Dotard is that he obtained the office by defrauding voters and should not therefore be able to use that office to avoid indictment. That still runs afoul of the two reasons above for federal charges.

I expect states to have sealed indictments while waiting for the House and Mueller.
