Yeah. Think its safe to say that Mueller knows all. Maybe knows more than all!

(3,557 posts)I dont at all understand how the right keeps believing that the FBI and all of its sources are just lying and staging evidence to destroy trump.
Worst of all, the right totally buys the fox news b.s.

(1,822 posts)Nixon and his supporters tried to say that Dean was lying to cover for himself during watergate too. Now it seems laughable when you know the outcome. I imagine the same will happen with trump and cohen.

(3,259 posts)It works in two ways.
1) Mueller asks questions he already knows the answers to. That seems to be what he is referencing here using past tense. That information can be used in multiple ways. Letting a little out during the interview to scare Cohen to the point he knew lying wasn't an option. Mueller concealing most of it so at the time of the interview he knows how honest and forthcoming Cohen is.
2) Chasing down leads after the fact to gain corroboration. This is huge as it often leads to more information and players.
Understand how long Mueller had been collecting information before going at Cohen. Mueller was already sitting on a considerable amount of info. There is always more to be gained.
