The thing is, lots of exciting things in the Mueller investigation have happened on days other than Fridays.

However, I will say that the way lawyers work, there's a rush to finish things by Friday afternoon just so you don't have a project hanging over you on the weekend. That's perhaps why things seem to happen more on Fridays.
