9. How things change...

Early in the Trump era, I offered a post here questioning certain claims made by Louise Mensch -- who, at that time, was a very popular person on DU. I was inundated with hate comments from many regulars here, some of whom suggested that I must be sort of GOP infiltrator.

Is it possible to have rational discussions here without the group-think and the mob mentality?

Now that everyone here hates her, I'm inclined to defend some of the things she has said recently, though not the things quoted above. That's just the way I am. I believe it was G.K. Chesterton who said: "When they give you ruled paper, write the other way."

The problem with progressives is that they keep handing out ruled paper.
