Special counsel Robert Mueller and his team were apparently not satisfied with Donald Trumps written responses to their questions and still want to interview him in person.
CNN reported Friday evening that Trumps responses were not enough and that the presidents lawyers have already denied the special counsels interview request.

(10,110 posts)Trump cannot have a conversation of any length without lying.
It would be legal suicide for him to speak with Mueller - guaranteed perjury and obstruction of justice.
So what we need to convince him of is that if he chats with Mueller, more people will think he (is) has a big dick.
Wishful thinking

(5,812 posts)Trump agreed to answer questions and did not object to a written interview. Mueller, IMO, knew the answers would not be adequate. So now, how does Team Trump say NO to an in person interview? Try and invoke the 5th after he has responded? IMO, once the box has been pried open and some of the contents spilled, it's really hard to go back to Square One and argue that the box should never have been opened. What possibly could be the objection now that some form of questioning has started?
