https://www.law.com/americanlawyer/2018/12/14/lawyer-identified-as-attacker-in-new-york-subway-incident/?slreturn=20181114230915

At one point in the video of the incident, the aggressor—identified in news reports as Anna Lushchinskaya, who uses the last name Lushchinsky professionally—lets out a racial slur typically used to denigrate Asians. Later, Lushchinsky makes another comment that seemed to be racially charged, referring to a male passenger, who has dark skin and describes himself on camera as Dominican, as “Muhammad.”

After footage of the subway incident was publicized, news reports emerged that in addition to her behavior during the morning rush hour, Lushchinsky is a law school graduate who was registered as an attorney in New York. According to state bar records, she graduated from New York Law School and was admitted to practice in New York in 2004. It’s unclear from the bar records whether Lushchinsky is actively practicing—her profile on the state bar’s attorney directory lists her registration status as, “due to re-register within 30 days of birthday.”

In the wake of the subway confrontation, Lushchinsky, 40, was arrested and the New York City Police Department’s transit bureau announced on Twitter that she could have faced felony assault charges. However, according to criminal court records in New York, the subway incident resulted in five misdemeanor charges, including menacing with a weapon other than a gun and attempted assault.

That would explain her being a racist pos.

Growing up in SF the most racist people I knew were Russian eastern bloc types. The girl who terrorized me in grade school was polish. At my grade school reunion she was such a bitch towards me. Of course I was about 30 lbs lighter than her and wasn’t as wrinkly as her.

Yes, racism runs deep in Russia. It is virulent. Violence against non-whites is common and officially tolerated

I don’t see the racism or sexism in my comment. And Russian is not a race but a nationality FYI.

She is not a native born citizen and brought her RAcism on the train.

She liked pretty much everybody - except you didn't want to get her started on the Russians! I looked up her ship's manifest and she was listed as coming from Russia since her part of Poland was under Russian control at the time (1912). That's the reason she came here (at 15) to start a better life. She never returned home again - but she was the eldest child in her family and sent money and food packages home to her family in Poland for as long as she lived.

From impromptu performances by famous recording artists to panhandlers, to just about anything you can imagine. I used to take the A Train daily from the Port Authority Terminal at the George Washington Bridge to Chambers Street (downtown near Wall St) and more often than not I was either entertained or appalled by what happened during those trips.

Probably the craziest thing I saw was one day in a crowded train when the doors opened at a stop and some guy proceeded to pee into the train from the platform through the open doors, with the crowd on the train scattering.
