Some musical history relating to the Caravan and the atrocities on our southern border

and why so many people are so desperate to flee Central America.

Our involvement in that region has been almost entirely malevolent, from the occupation of Nicaragua in the 1920s to the overthrow of the democratically elected government in Guatemala to US support for the death squads in El Salvador to US support for the Contras....

Anyway, I was reminded of this song, and though I don't support violence, I can certainly relate to the emotions behind it.
