GOP strategist flames out after mistakenly citing poll that shows most think Trump is a liar

Snip: “This is more taxpayer money that is being used to probe another thing and it’s so inside baseball to the average American, ” she offered. “The [tracking poll] numbers don’t budge. Forty-eight percent approve of [Trump’s] job, 50 percent disapprove. That is not moving the needle.”

Veteran journalist Jonathan Alter was not having it.

“In that poll only 34% of the American public believes that Donald Trump is telling the truth — that is a horrible number for him,” Alter admonished her.

(He also pointed out that the 48% approval rating was an outlier from Rasmussen with most polls showing his approval under 40% right now.)
