She took all the musicallity and melody out of Lennon's tune and made it a monotone. #Ruined TeamPooka Dec 2018 #11

2nd song, and he was in the front, she nodded at him, I thought maybe he was her brother of something...camera went on him a couple times...real shaggy looking...didn't seem like much of a guitar player...then at the end, she said "Sean Ono Lennon, Ladies and Gentlemen"...

I know zilch about her music, but like you, like her brashness and honesty...

Had to go to iTunes and listen to it a few times to get her screeching out of my head.

Singers today need to understand that understated and softly is sometimes what is appropriate to convey the true emotional feel of a song.

Imagine someone screeching out Sam Stone at the top of their lungs and you can understand how that would ruin that John Prine song.

It will blow you away.

"There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes,
and Jesus Christ died for nothing, I suppose.
Little pitchers have big ears,
Don't stop to count the years
Sweet songs never last to long on broken radios."

Everything I saw was great. The ornaments on the back of the tree was especially funny as were most of the skits. Missed Sean Lennon. Will go back and watch.

and then in the 90s the Nora Dunn Jan Hooks Phil Hartman genius cast....didn't think the writing this week was very sharp...the insipid cop skit, etc...After T's tweets I thought the whole show was gonna be about him !!

pushed lots of buttons.

Thought the best Christmas ever and the ornaments skit was good also.

The end was disjointed the last skit was just ended and the endtro gutted Damon mid sentence...

Must get commercials in!

Then I teared up. Sean. “Beautiful Boy.” His daddyvwould be proud.

I thought the show was very good. And I’ve grown to love Miley more all the time, from her really fine voice to her steady character. She’s smart, she’s tough, she went through her Wild Child phase on schedule and left it on schedule. I cracked up at the terror over what was really a very secure wardrobe that showed far less than most swimsuits. She’s a PR shark.

But Sean...it was wonderful to see him.
