Mexican border: Children are being numbered with magic markers
No, it's not the Holocaust. It's being done on the Mexican side of the border to help children and parents to be reunited if they are separated. Mexican authorities know that numbering children will bring to mind the inhumanity of tattooing numbers onto human beings during the Holocaust. And they are intentionally trying to remind people of that horror.
And this is all happening because of one horrible motherf****r named Donald Trump.
The border crossing points are backlogged and the Mexican authorities are overloaded. They just don't have the resources to handle countless thousands of people, fleeing the terrors of Central and South America, and in need of food and water. They are backed up because Mexico never had to handle this many refugees in history.
And all this is happening because of one horrible motherf****r named Donald Trump.
The Mexican border towns, Juarez, Nogales, Tijuana and others, are dangerous places. Children can be snatched up and trafficked. But the families who have come there with the hope of getting into the U.S., are so desperate, they are willing to take any risk to escape from the horror they have lived under for too long.
People have always come to America from all over the world. They come for freedom. They come with various skills, and a willingness to work for survival and for their children to have a better life.
Most of us are the children, grandchildren and/or great grandchildren of desperate/hopeful refugees. Where/what would you be if your forebears hadn't had the grit to strive for survival/freedom. Where and what would you be if they hadn't laid their lives on the line for you?
This has always been the promise of America. But the door is being slammed in the faces of these desperate people.
And this is happening because of one horrible motherf****r named Donald Trump.

And shake. It may be marker instead of tattoos, but it is too reminiscent of the holocaust.
