23. This is the way I see what happened.

The judge kept hinting, strongly, that if he had to do the sentencing today, he was going to give Flynn jail time, and it wasn't going to be 0 to 6 months. Finally Flynn's lawyers caught on and asked for a postponement.
Flynn has 3 months to come up with more information for Mueller or Flynn is going to the slammer.

That's my take. This judge was pissed.
