Who pushed for Michael Flynn to be in the Trump admin? Turns out, it was Ivanka

In November 2016, three days after Trump won the election, Ivanka announced she had invited Flynn, a loyal supporter, to attend a transition meeting that was then chaired by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. At the time Ivanka had worked in her father’s real estate company and as a lifestyle entrepreneur, but she had no experience in government service. Nonetheless, she was a member of the transition team’s executive council.

As Flynn walked in, Christie tried to regain control of the meeting, but Ivanka took over, Mayer reported.

“Praising Flynn’s ‘amazing loyalty to my father,’ (Ivanka) turned to Flynn and asked, ‘General, what job do you want?’ A participant at the meeting said, ‘It was like Princess Ivanka had laid the sword on Flynn’s shoulders and said, ‘Rise and go forth.’ ”

Flynn expressed interest in becoming secretary of state or secretary of defense, Mayer said.

Let's get this straight: Someone who claims not to be political and tried to portray herself as even a "liberal check" on Trump, I even heard it here that Jared and Ivanka might be moderating influences, just happens to go out and fetch this right wing Islamophobic blowhard who led chants of "Lock her up" who was fired by Obama... that's what this "moderating influence" does? Get this guy? The guy who made a guilty plea? And since we all know this is about getting sanctions off of the Kremlin's back, he'd have a lot of power as those positions he wanted, he could appear to other nations as secretary of state or make exemptions for Russian sanctions as secretary of defense or as secretary of state... that makes a lot of sense he went straight for those two.

We've seen what the Emperor Trump does when someone makes a decision that embarrasses him. Sessions, following DOJ guidelines, recused himself from overseeing the Special Counsel, and Trump never got over that. Trump flayed Sessions over and over in public and in private for not acting like Trump's personal attorney.

I wonder if Ivanka can expect the same treatment from Daddy Dearest for foisting such an embarrassment on his administration? Probably not. Lord Littlehands continues to stand by Flynn and doesn't think Flynn's done anything wrong. And, you know, Ivanka, whose pee smells like rose water in Littlehands' nostrils.

7. There's actually a little more to it...

Flynn used to fly around with Trump on the campaign, and was seen as keeping him calm and happy. I suspect Ivanka thought that deserved a reward.
