Once a crime is committed and you get caught you can trade the level of penalty for the level of your collaboration with prosecutors. General Mike Flynn tells all, and serves no jail time. You can’t teach children basic ethics that way. Trump and the Republicans have taken us into new terrain where we have to wait for the rule of law to decide rather than know ourselves not to commit the crime in the first place.

The injustices Mitch McConnell is allowing Individual-1 to skirt from, while extraordinary immoral today, will have implications for generations to come.

They couldn't whine enough about that back in the 90s: How can we possibly explain oral sex to our children? But they don't seem to care at all nowadays about any lessons the children might learn from their corrupt ways.
