Is anyone else getting multiple calls from

Apple with a recording that says my iCloud account has been "breached"?

When I went to the next message, I asked if this is for real or "one of those phishing scams". They hung up then.

These calls came from from several different numbers.

What do you think? Has anyone else gotten these calls today?

1. I get emails stating that.

I own Apple products but have never activated my icloud account.

3. Don't own any apple products.

And I haven't gotten any of those calls.

I do get the calls from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft and is very, very concerned about my computer. Sometimes I string them along for a bit, sometimes I just hang up.

In any case, no legitimate company would phone you to tell you there's a problem with your computer or Cloud stuff, or anything. Just as the IRS doesn't phone, and the local sheriff's department won't phone to tell you there's an outstanding warrant for you.

10. I tell them that I'm willing to waste as much of their time as I can.

It usually takes repeating that about three times before they hang up on me. They are really persistent on trying to claim it is not a scam.

4. Not today but earlier this week I was getting calls from

Apple Inc. that all my apple products were in grave danger. I don't own any Apple products. They called every half hour for an entire afternoon. I finally turned off my answering machine until the next morning and they were back. I turned it off once again for a full day and a half and now it has ceased.

But I don't own any Apple products and refuse to do so.

Got the Microsoft one once, he hung up when I wouldn't stop laughing.

8. Yes, just got back from being out of town 3 days and 8 identical

messages on the machine like that. Total scam.

11. I strongly doubt those calls are from Apple or Microsoft or anyone who is legit.

It seems much like a scam.
That is exactly what crooks do. Cheat, lie, and steal..

Call center scams from India.

It’s a dual opportunity scam.

They also scam many of the job seekers wanting to work for them.

13. I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number. If it's a scammer they don't usually

leave a message.

15. No tech company does this. These scammers (and there are many) are phishing. Hang up as soon...

...as you hear their opening words. I get emails like this all the time, but my spam filter catches them and from there I trash them.

21. I get calls from my own number

the voice tells me that my microsoft license has expired blah blah blah.

at least 6 times a day along with Peggy who wants to reduce my credit card interest rate and

from some guy that says I own a time share in a Marriot Hotel.

I am "Someone" at last !!!!!
