Hamburger Hill.

Trump's retreat from Syria when we're one town away from wiping out ISIS reminds me of the decision that was the ill-thought out strategy in Hamburger Hill to withdraw. Our soldiers in Vietnam incurred heavy casualties in a battle that was almost won, and they left with nothing to show for it. Leaving one to question the reasoning abilities of our military leaders, and even the war itself.

One thing we don't have to wonder in the case of Syria, is why Trump is withdrawing. He's obviously paying Putin back, as promised prior to the election. I just wish I knew where Trump sees himself after his term in office. I don't think he plans to return to the USA.
