In an early morning tweet, George Conway, the husband of White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, highlighted an online piece stating that relations between senior Republicans and President Donald Trump are “collapsing.”

Conway, who has become a frequent public critic of his wife’s boss, excerpted a quote from a Slate article reading: “The extent to which Republicans are distancing themselves from the White House is a poor sign for a future where even more of the administration is under investigation. The signs of a collapse are here. The question is what pushes everything over the brink.

He prefaced it with a pithy: “Exactly right.”
