On Wednesday night, after coming across the news of a viral GoFundMe campaign that is raising $5 billion to pay for a border wall, the Twitter account @HoarseWisperer made a joke:
"Should we crowdsource money for ladders just to troll them?"

(65,319 posts)been done by others to reach a total of $20,000, I suggest that if you really don't need that money, you could give it to the GoFundMe for the vet bills for sweet little dog Audrey, whose owner Miss Millie, a time DUer since 2003, has gone into the hole having her treated for what appears to be a tic-borne illness. They nearly lost Audrey, and though she is still sick, she does seem to be getting a bit better now.

So, if you happened to miss this in the wee hours this morning, a funny thing happened...
I made a joke about crowdfunding money for ladders to defeat Trumps wall.
Then @cmclymer turned it into an actual GoFundMe sure to inflame the MAGA nuts in comical fashion.

If you read the GoFundMe, the money actually goes to a great organization helping immigrants.
There are no ladders.
Were not really building ladders.
Were raising money to help @RAICESTEXAS - and were having a little fun trolling the Wall crowd along the way.
