Sounds like completely selling out on a humanitarian crisis with no long term guarantee for the oppressed. No long term guarantee at all. It almost sounds like someone who wants the wall.

If that is what you are going with then the deal needs to be that we give him the wall and he steps down. I still wouldn’t be ok with that. As you have outlined, this isn’t a deal for him to leave office.

But Mueller's work could eventually lead to his removal and the 5 billion is not guaranteed to result in the stupid wall. IMO.

That’s what this is. Of course he isn’t going to leave office for the wall. And this deal would do nothing to facilitate that either. Yes. Let’s give him the wall and then be thankful the day Pence is sworn in. Not a chance.

If something is economically/financially, ethically and morally the wrong thing to do, which that idiotic wall idea is, than it certainly shouldn't be used as a bargaining chip and shouldn't even consider it.

If we cave on this we look insincere and weak on issues that are at the core of our party. Find a 'bargaining chip', with Trump and/or Republicans, that they can't pull a 'Lucy' on (Peanuts reference) and that allows us to stand strong on our position(s).
