James N. Mattis is no longer part of the Trump Administration

He resigned and left a scathing letter pointing out Trump's failings. As of yesterday, he is no longer an issue. He has no position of authority any longer in the Trump administration. He no longer matters. He was an important cabinet member. Now, he has no position.

We need to return our focus to Donald Trump, himself. Mattis is no longer of interest. Trump should always remain at the center of our attention. All others are peripheral to that, and those who are no longer in the Administration are no longer pertinent to what is happening and what may happen in the future.

Sessions, Manafort, Cohen, Mattis, and many, many others were part of the story. Some have evidence to provide about the past. But, it is now and the future we must deal with. Efforts focusing on those who are no longer part of the administration are a waste of time and a diversion from the real issues.

Let them testify. Let them tell their stories. But, they are no longer in the current picture.

We must maintain our focus on the real issue. That issue is Donald J. Trump, himself. He is the center of this, and should always be our primary focus of attention. Others come and go, but Trump remains.

I think the point is that he'll be effectively neutered by the administration for the duration of his tenure.

because that horse had already left the barn. he was neutered before he resigned. it was clear to him that trump is a runaway train and if he ever could influence him, he no longer could.

I doubt he will be in his office much, if at all, and his Deputy will be handling the processes. A resignation like that takes you right out of the chain of command.

But I don't think the chain of command point is technically accurate.

the chain of command right now. Do you think he will include Mattis in any decisions? I don't.

The military is very structured, but it's a pure top-down operation. At the top of that operation is the CiC. Period. What Trump says pretty much goes.

Trump can push aside anyone and shift the chain as he pleases. He's the top dog right now.

Mattis is out, whether he still holds the title or not. He took himself out, and pissed all over the floor on his way. Trump is fuming over that resignation letter. He'll never communicate with Mattis again.

With trump gone, we would still have Pence.
What can we do to reprogram the cult? Their hatred and delusions predated Trump.
