RBG: Silver lining

If RBG had not tripped, fallen, and broken her ribs, there is a better-than-likely chance she would have succumbed prematurely to malignant cancer spread throughout her body, a horrible prognosis for any of us.

They caught a serious condition and hopefully they have arrested it.

Send cards to her at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in NYC.

falling, breaking bones and cancer... My grandfather died only 6 months after he fell. I am very worried about RBG.

But if the worst should happen, I hope the Democrats have learned a few lessons, and won't be confirming any SCOTUS while they are the majority.

That and MD Anderson in Houston are the best cancer hospitals around.

She has had two other cancers in the past, and sometimes old cancers reappear in the lungs.

The biggest risks, he added, will be pneumonia and blood clots.

While no immediate treatment is planned, Flores said pathologists will be looking at the tumors taken from Ginsburg's lungs. Flores believes it is most likely the lung tumors are a recurrence of pancreatic cancer, but one that is slow-growing and therefore not a medical emergency.

"As long as she recovers from surgery well, she should be fine. I don't think people should worry," Flores said.

4 years ago i was in bad car wreck. on admission, i was unresponsive, the hospital did a good job going over me. 2 days later i was told i had a dime size tumor in my left lung. they removed that lung. Being in that wreck probably saved my life.
