Why Do Cable News Anchors Keep Saying They Don't Understand Trump's Hold On Repugs?.....

Why do the Repugs keep circling their wagons around Trump and why do they continue to protect him? Even those Repugs that are retiring and leaving - like Ryan (he doesn't have anything to lose and can he can stand up to Trump but he continues to protect Trump and bow to Trump's wishes).

It seems like these news anchors pussy foot around the answer to that question - why do the Repugs continue to protect Trump and bow to all his demands?

In my humble opinion - the answer to that question is key to our whole Trump problem.

If we know what Trump's magical hold is over the Repugs and expose that - maybe - just maybe - we can begin to solve our Trump problem.

Is he blackmailing the Repugs? Does Trump or Putin have 'kompromat' on the Repugs that they are afraid of getting exposed.

Is Trump threatening on taking down the Repug Party - if they don't cooperate with him?

What is Trump's hold on the Repugs and their Party?

Why won't the news anchors go there and attempt to answer that question? Why do they keep dancing around the answer?

he accuses Dems of things that in fact he is engineering in the background and all the while he is guilty of what he accuses the Dems of doing.

This has always led me to the use of the term we hear a lot these days - 'deep state'.

How many times have we heard him or his Repug allies use the term 'deep state' in relation to the Dems or the Clintons or the Obama's.

I really think the 'deep state' does exist and it is being fostered by the Repugs and people that want to destroy this government and this country.

I'm beginning to think that the 'deep state' is a subversive group or faction (like the mafia) that is out to kill our democracy. And it looks like there are plenty of actors out there willing to fill in positions in our government - only to subvert it.

It appears that Trump has utilized the help of this 'deep state' to his and their advantage. It appears that he is well under way of destroying our democracy from the inside out.

I also get the feeling that many of these cable news anchors know this is the undercurrent - but are too afraid to expose it.

I've never been more afraid for this country than I've gotten over this last week. It seems like every time it looks like Trump is on the run - that something happens where he recovers and puts the country on the run.

He can't be both a becoming senile old man that is deteriorating and imploding right before our eyes and an evil genius at the same time.

We keep hearing that there is chaos and drama in the WH and he is not handling his situation (Mueller and all the investigations) well. Yet when we see him in public - he comes off has calm, controlled and arrogant - and not being affected by the calamity that is surrounding him.

Just once I'd like to see him implode in a big way in public. The other day at the Oval Meeting with Pelosi and Schumer - was the closest he came to a meltdown. Today he is out there blaming the Dems for the shutdown - just like he said he wouldn't do and that he'd take responsibility.

I think most American's see what's going on and see the criminality surrounding this guy - yet feel so helpless in stopping him.

If we survive Trump and make it though this fragile period of our country - I just hope that the powers that be (Congress) makes corrections to our Constitution and our laws to prevent another Trump from ever appearing on the scene again.
