He claimed 45 made a campaign promise to build the wall and he's standing by it.
The host and other guest never called this lie out.
45 promised Mexico would pay for it.

(16,784 posts)That clearly shows Trump saying that he will be proud to shut down the A Government if he does not get what he wants. All the shows have been saying how Trump promised American taxpayers that Mexico would pay for, and now wants American taxpayers to pay for it.

(1,822 posts)So we have a little change to the NAFTA agreement and suddenly we have billions of new dollars coming in in tax revenue? You would have to have close to $100 billion in new revenue coming in from Mexico for this arguement to be even remotely true. And we're to believe we are going to have $100 billion in new business coming in from Mexico that we didnt have a few months ago?

(5,493 posts)Technically, Mexico is paying for the wall, because the trade agreement benefits us. Therefore, Trump kept his campaign promise!

(17,984 posts)Let Rump and all who desire the wall go down there and build it themselves. You promise, you want, you make it happen yourself! For a few thousand dollars we can supply pallets of block and sacks of mortar (they will need to mix it by hand in wheelbarrows). See how long they last. See how wide and how tall they can make it.
My bet is that they last a week, maybe two, before they see the futility of the project. Also, that hard work will have exhausted their pent up rage (hopefully).

to fulfill trump's campaign promises. If he couldn't deliver after having a totally repug-controlled Congress for two years, that's on him.
If we have all this $$ from tRump's trade agreements with Mexico, why do we have to ask the taxpayers to foot the bill?
I love to see the puzzled expressions when you ask them that.

(16,784 posts)Addelson, Mercer, the Kochs, the Waltons, the corporations that got tax cuts all pitch in for Trump's wall.
But will that happen? Heck no.

We're doing what we would always do and it's obvious.
