This is a new one from Trump?

He says that Mattis was fired by Obama and wanted to give Mattis a second chance! Ummm noooo, Dimwit! You are thinking of the criminal Flynn! Mattis worked in the Pentagon while Obama was president, he retired in 2013 and not fired. Jeez, you now lying about a decorated Marine General impeccable reputation, just so you can look good? Wrong again Captain Bone Spurs!

Word on the national security street is that General James Mattis is being given the bum’s rush out of his job as commander of Central Command, and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned.

4. Yes, since he was not demoted and was still in active service, some like to say he was "reassigned",

but, in common terms, he was "fired". And, most of us agreed with President Obama at the time.

Obama wanted to negotiate with Iran; Mattis wanted to use at least the threat of military action.

While he was too hawkish for the Obama situation, the current setup with Trump had Mattis as the most moderate and rational actor in the process.

When he accuses others to make the dumb supporters , who he knows won't google it, trust his lies over the truth, and many still will , and he knows it. Con men use that tactic often .

10. Obama relieved him of command

After which he retired. It was because he was being too aggressive on Iran, with whom Obama hoped to cut a deal, y'know the hard-won nuclear deal that Trump shit-canned.

11. Yes, Obama did "relieve him of command".

And for the reason you stated. He and Obama were at odds about his Iran policy, because Mattis wanted to be more combative and Obama wanted to negotiate for the nuclear deal.

Good people don't work for Trump.

And yes, Mattis was pushed to take early retirement by Obama.
