Trump Just Made It Worse For Himself By Pushing Mattis Out Early

Trump Just Made It Worse For Himself By Pushing Mattis Out Early

Trump tweeted that Sec. of Defense James Mattis was leaving two months early in what was an obvious attempt to change the bad for him government shutdown coverage.

Trump tweeted:

Trump is getting killed on the government shutdown, so he is trying to change the subject

Trump’s tactics are so obvious. The government shutdown is creating mountains of bad headlines and coverage for him. The stinging Mattis resignation is still being discussed in the news, so Donald Trump is trying to take control of the news cycle by tossing his resigning Secretary of Defense out the door two months early.

All Trump has accomplished with another impulsive and out of control decision is confirming the stories that he is totally untethered. Trump isn’t “winning the news cycle,” as he is obsessed with doing. The President isn’t changing the storyline or looking like a competent leader.

He is confirming that irrational and governing by the seat of his pants.

Trump didn’t make things better. He made the stories much, much worse when he pushed Mattis out.

Make no mistake...there is a much bigger picture.....he is surrounding himself with an unconfirmed cabinet.....he will be the only one to make any and all decisions...placed us in harms way....there will be war....soon. I feel it coming.

My sense is...that the Oval Office chat Trump had with Schumer and Pelosi....all planned out by Trump and Company....heck, he NEVER meets with the Democrats and on TV unless it is part of his manipulative scheme....

It was staged by Trump....of course Nancy and Chuck had no prior information that the media was going to film their meeting...it's not their fault...but Trump blatantly used them.

Trump does not do anything without a Monetary Reward. That has been his life's History.

This move is preemptive in order for him to smack down the House before Jan 3,as a starter. Remember,Graham is playing his game behind the scenes.

Sun Dec 23, 2018, 05:40 PM
Dec 2018

“General Jim Mattis will be retiring, with distinction, at the end of February, after having served my Administration as Secretary of Defense for the past two years. During Jim’s tenure, tremendous progress has been made, especially with respect to the purchase of new fighting equipment. General Mattis was a great help to me in getting allies and other countries to pay their share of military obligations. A new Secretary of Defense will be named shortly. I greatly thank Jim for his service."

Funny how things change so quickly with that orange ass. Here he is after I guess he comprehended the Mattis letter:
When President Obama ingloriously fired Jim Mattis, I gave him a second chance. Some thought I shouldn’t, I thought I should. Interesting relationship-but I also gave all of the resources that he never really had. Allies are very important-but not when they take advantage of U.S.

Nobody who alleges that Trump is doing "B" because he's being criticized for "A" can show any evidence that Trump thinks strategically. Trump is reacting to the reporting that Mattis implicitly criticized his Syria action. It's impulse, nothing more.
