Mark Twain dabbled in philosophy. He posits that no person does anything

unless it is in their own self interest. In know that, on the surface, that seems false. Think about it for awhile. It might just very well be true. So what?

The rich have hijacked the Republican low information voters by "educating" them via Fox and talk radio. They have scared them into believing that the negative behavior of elected Republicans is in their best interest. So?

Democrats must counter their lies with the truth. That truth must also scare ALL voters to the point that they will vote for progressive policies believing them to be in their best interests. There will need to be some strong rhetoric to make afraid. Their will need to be clear images of what a progressive future will look like. The times are perilous enough that all of this CAN be done. It must be done if there is to be an acceptable future.

Pass it on......

is to maximize the giving and output, based on the sliver of what it gives you in return, or to start. No man is 100% altruistic. It's being able to work for the benefit of others, while nurturing the little flame that gets you to where that's possible.
I think all of that starts and ends w how you're brought up. Parenting is job one. Loving your kids enough to say no, and loving them even more to say yes. Instilling kindness and love and a sense of wonder is so crucial. After they grow up, it's often far too late, and all that is left as a teachable moments are when the person who is acting wrongly, is terrified for themselves. Fear based learning is the worst, but often our last resort. Public schools are/used to be, the best place to get a balance for when things went awry at home.IMHO.
HAVE A HAPPY 48 HRS.
