Trump says the Fed is a powerful golfer who can't putt. Reminder: He also has the nuclear codes.

U.S. President Donald Trump blasted America’s independent central bank on Monday, describing the Federal Reserve as the only problem had by the country’s economy.

“The only problem our economy has is the Fed. They don’t have a feel for the market,” Trump said on Twitter. “The Fed is like a powerful golfer who can’t score because he has no touch – he can’t putt!”

7. aside from the political stupidity of using a golfing analogy, what's his point?

football or baseball analogies can work well politically, because so many americans have played or at least have enjoyed watching those sports.

golf? that tends to be a more upscale sport. not the best for politicians.

anyway, what's his point, that the fed can make big moves to stimulate or rein in the economy, but it can't finesse things?

is he trying to imply that what the economy needs now is finesse? that's hardly his style. if he thinks the economy needs a rate cut instead of a rate hike, then where is the "putt" analogy?

does he think the fed should have made half a hike?

or is he just an idiot?

i'm going with he's just an idiot.
