(11,259 posts)New York taxes aren't that much higher. Usually its 60 cents over the commodity price which today is 1.38. So someone along the chain is screwing us. wholesalers or retailers ???

If youre on the west coast youll never see that. Youre oil comes largely from the North Slope and taxes and other factors mean that gasoline in CA is currently close to $4 per gallon. Where you live makes a huge difference in the amount you pay per gallon. Always has.
