He wrote about addiction in an honest and non-glamorous way.

but most of the people I know who read have read at least a little Burroughs. He went through a bit of a renaissance in the 90s thanks to the success of his Dead City Radio album and Kurt Cobain championing his writing.

found Dial-a-Poem and Giorno Poetry Systems LP records in his parent's collection.
We were riveted listening to Burroughs, Giorno, Ginsberg, et al.

Saw this a long time ago and loved it. Burroughs was one of America's greatest writers.
