Full headline, which wouldn't fit in the thread title, so I changed the actor's name to the character's:

Former White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart took note of President Donald Trumps recent actions during a Wednesday appearance on CNNs New Day and explained what he sees as crazier and crazier behavior in the most unique way.
Asked by host John Avlon to explain his thoughts on Trumps past week, Lockhart listed a number of apparent missteps and gaffes, saying Over the course of a couple days, he blew Santa Claus cover and said Im home alone, and he said I am signing bills, and when they did a close-up of the bills, it was a blank piece of paper.
He said Trump is furious at the Fed for raising interest rates too fast, adding that, during a booming economy he passed a deficit-busting tax cut that blew a hole in the deficit. After listing many of the problems he faces, he claimed that these are all of his own making. Regarding the Colonel Kurtz comparison? in Lockharts esteem, Trump is surrounding himself by people in the jungle talking about crazy stuff.
Apocalypse Now was the 1979 Francis Ford Coppola-directed movie based on Joseph Conrads Heart of Darkness. Colonel Kurtz is the isolated and deluded military figure who has lost any sense of reality deep in the jungles of Southeast Asia.
