The Democrats have an opportunity to severely damage the Republican party, will they take it?

Yes, the Republicans are doing a great job of destroying themselves, but the Democrats have a mountain of evidence of how The Republicans in congress betrayed the American people. We watched with our own eyes what the Republicans did and did not do. It was insane.

For two years they broke their oath of office, committed Dereliction of Duty. They failed to investigate scores of crimes being committed by the Trump White house right out in the open. They blocked evidence on the Russian attack on America, That's unbelievable. That cannot go unanswered. Will the Democrats expose everything the Republicans did and did not do to the American people? That could be very damaging, it also could create more chaos.

How hard will the Democrats in the House go after The Republicans in congress? We know they will go after Trump and his people with everything they got, is that enough. Will the Democrats be afraid of political backlash or will they attempt to destroy the scourge that is destroying our democracy, The Republican Party?

I believe sometimes in life you have to be willing to take huge risks in order to fix things that are wrong or evil. You have to go through a lot of pain and suffering. I believe we are at one of those moments in our history.

Direct attacks on fellow Members are against the rules of the House. And the Republicans left in the House were all re-elected, so apparently their constituents don't care.

More to the point however, the job of Democrats is to Govern: to pass policies that will change things. Not to throw mmud.

They could hold hearings in public about how the Republicans willfully blocked investigations. Most Americans don't know what we know, remember that. They don't follow the news until something big happens.

Get everything out in the open.

And unlike the GOP, we will not sacrifice our democratic norms and value to achieve our goals for the nation - our goals and methods will reaffirm American values even as we ruthlessly eject the current inhabitants of the Oval Office.

We will push hard on this criminal regime, and we will defeat it.

that resulted in over 35,000 young American soldiers being killed or wounded. They had the lowest approval ratings in a century and people were fleeing the party.

What did we do? We tried to appease them and compromise at every turn despite having a filibuster proof majority. Hell, we even gave Fox News Helen Thomas's seat in the press room and gave Joe Lieberman his committee chairmanship back despite endorsing a Republican for President and making an anti-Democrat speech at the Republican convention.

How did it work out? They controlled the narrative from 2009 on.We got destroyed in the 2010 primaries and the Republicans eventually took over everything on a Federal and state level.

I hope we learned from that colossal mistake and steamroll them this time.

them for the next decade, however there are inherent dangers to over do it, only to see it rebound on Dems. I think the scale of not only Russian conspiracy with Trump and Republicans, but ordinary corruption, is massive. Democrats would be doing a favour to Republicans if they pushed the impeachment route. The American people need a step by step exposure of what happened... Mueller has been doing exactly that, and now Democrats must do the same...death by 1000 cuts.
