This is so shocking it's hard to believe. Shocking I tell you!

Friend --

This is so shocking it's hard to believe.

UPDATE: On Friday, Secretary of State Husted followed through with his threat and suspended two members of the Montgomery County Board of Elections because they voted to open up the polls on the weekends leading up to Election Day.

When did helping people cast a ballot become a bad thing!? Husted's move is despicable, so we've planned a rally for Monday morning in Columbus to get the word out - but we need your help right now.

Please contribute $5 to support our rally Monday outside Husted's office and bring attention to Republican efforts to decrease voting access.

Thank you for everything,

Jerid Kurtz

Communications Director

Friend --

It's outrageous and borderline criminal.

Secretary of State Jon Husted wants to fire two Democrats in Dayton because they voted to open up the voting booths on the weekend.

Nearly 29,000 voters in Dayton and Montgomery County voted during extended hours in 2008 and that's one reason Barack Obama is president today and running for reelection.

This isn't just a Democratic or a Republican issue; this is an American issue. We absolutely cannot let Husted intimidate or fire people that are committed to helping Ohioans exercise their most fundamental freedom, the right to vote.

This is a red alert - please pitch in $5 and help us get the message out that Husted is trying to fire people, literally as we speak, who are committed to helping Ohioans vote.

We cannot let the Secretary of State get away with this - and with your help, we'll end Husted's games.

I hope this 'rally' helps those two, yet, I am amazed that republicans are so emboldened by the Bush, Cheney, Rove 2000-2004 election theft that the 'Grand Old Party' people feel that they can and will do anything to win an election and damn what the american populace thinks. Truth, justice, democracy(small d), the american way, liberty, freedom. Ha! That's it.:patriot?:

Tens of thousands of Kerry voters prevented from voting in a blatant disenfranchisement campaign that gave Ohio's 21 electoral votes to BFEE and gave us another 4 years of hell.

They're going to do it again -- mark my words.
