And don't some Republican lawmakers own or have investment in some of the so-called shelter companies? They, also, are profiting off of people's misery. Why is this allowed to go on?

The prison reforms we really need, Obama started. We need to get private profiteers out of the business of prisons, because its not supposed to be a business. It's supposed to be a public service.
