This has never been done before - not long term. I would think the House or Senate might have some check on that?

Isn't there a treaty involved concerning the rules of operation and the condition of the border check-points?

And I'm sure if the Feds just up and lock the gates, the States with border towns might something to say about it, not to mention U.S. citizens (many being elderly white relatives) who would be caught in Mexico might cause a stink.
