What's on your list of non-negotiables for a Dem. presidential candidate? update

Maybe if there were a list of qualifications to work off of, it would be easier to narrow down the field.

--------------
please exclude "must be a democrat" as a qualification. I said Democratic candidate.

I'm looking for a constructive thread about competence for the job, not a thinly disguised "Anti-Bernie thread"

It’s only sexy to a small group. A Voting Rights Act that pushes constitutional bounds.

Women’s rights.

Equality including targeted payouts for the historically oppressed.

No fear in talking about an aggressive change to the tax code.

I would like someone with competent knowledge of the structure of the federal government but that is not necessary.

I’ll wait for the primaries and then it will be like defining porn. I’ll know it when I see it.

If we want to lose the next election we can all fight about how the candidate, whomever that may be, does not support this or does not support that. Isn't strong enough in their support for X or Y.

That's the way to lose again.

The way to win again is to vote for the Democratic candidate.
