https://www.thedailybeast.com/tucker-carlsons-show-sheds-advertisers-after-immigration-comments-report?via=twitter_pageTucker Carlsons nightly show on Fox News has been hemorrhaging advertisers since the conservative host said that immigration makes the United States "poorer and dirtier and more divided on Dec. 13, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Whereas Tucker Carlson Tonight routinely had some 40 corporate ads prior to his comment, the average has since been some 28 nightly -- plummeting to a low of 21 Wednesday evening. Tucker Carlson Tonight has also gone from five ad breaks to four and has leaned far more heavily on so-called house ads that promote Fox News programming and Fox Broadcasting Company scripted television shows, The Hollywood Reporter notes. Carlson's show now regularly includes as many as seven such house ads, which help fill lost spots, along with public service announcements, the outlet also said. A Fox News spokesperson reportedly said that shows usually have lighter ads during the holiday period between Christmas and the first few weeks of the New Year. Ad loads pick up toward the end of the month.

(6,110 posts)I am an immigrant. My education through Bachelor's degree was done in my home country. That did not cost United States anything. My master's degree in engineering was acquired in United States. I paid all my expenses myself, by working part time jobs and loans from my parents.
So, then United States had a well educated engineer available with zero cost to tax payers.
I was hired by a large manufacturing outfit, and they wanted me to continue working after my student visa expired, so they sponsored me for immigrant visa. Obviously I must have been a good worker, because they kept promoting me and I worked there for a quarter of a century.
So Mr Carlson, be aware that immigrants like me are a benefit to this great country of USA.
