The big difference between R and D investigations is...

Republican investigations were all politically motivated. They were never designed to expose true criminality.

Democratic investigations are started because of indications of unlawful activity and aim to reveal it if it's confirmed.

I don't think I've seen anyone in the media state this directly.

Media is by default liberal if you use the correct definition:

mature, worldly, open minded - by default someone who is a JOURNALIST has to be these things to do their job correctly

righty is the opposite of all this so the media has to play to them like the handicapped step child or whatever that saying is.
