Nursing Home Orderlies,
like most nursing staff,
are overworked,
understaffed,
and under paid.

The staff was the nicest, least complaining,
and helpful people ever. They try so hard to keep people happy while doing the most personal, private jobs that can be pretty harrowing.

I admire them as much as any first responder and think they are just as vital.

It was the physically and emotionally hardest, least paying job I have ever had, but it taught me many things. Regularly losing friends before age 22, trying to maintain other's dignity...

The job of Nursing Assistant should not be the basis of jokes.
