1. What surprises me is why any of this would come as a surprise to anyone.

No reputable bank on the planet would lend POtuS a dime since at least the early 2000's because he was a deadbeat. He had to turn to the sleazy oligarchs in Russia and Saudis just to stay afloat. The former follows the designation in the memos and, if treated arithmetically, results in a big nothing, which adequately describes the Donald's value to civilized society.
