If Romney doesn't release his taxes is will set a dangerous precedent

Politicians will then be free to be as corrupt as hell on their taxes and get away with it without worry of laws they broke because Romney will have laid the groundwork for them. We absolutely can't let one person get away with this kind of bull shit or a precedent will be set forever and then MOST politicians will start doing what Romney started.

in quite a few states, there is another way of looking at this. If he loses, it will set precedent that this is what brought down his campaign and no one will dare not release their financial records in future contests.

One thing that can be said about this election that we haven't seen in elections past - and that is that quite a few lines in the sand have been drawn. This is but one of them.

no one will be willing to take the chance with their taxes like he did. If he wins then we are screwed in more ways than one.

And why do people like Romney worry about taxes anyway? They don't pay anything so it doesn't matter what the tax rates are.

I wonder if there may be nothing hidden away in the taxes at all, and this is all about drawing a line in the sand, moving the boundaries and setting precedents. But... if that's true, then they must really think they have something, to win the actual election. Lose the election and no precedent is set and it would be harder for them to try something similar in the future. Romney became the candidate by having money. Do he or his backers think they can win the election the same way? Or just block enough votes to either win or have a close enough outcome to steal it somehow?

Man, this is another worrywart post. Sorry, folks. I have a problem with the worrying, see.

which is the "precedent" Romney is relying on (plus I think there is some shit in his 2009 return...just a hunch).

So blame McCain for the precedent.

Otherwise, there's something he doesn't want people to see, like easy money.
