Board Members
The Iowa State Fair Board consists of the Governor, the Secretary of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, and the President of Iowa State University; two directors from each of six geograhic districts; and a secretary/manager/CEO. During the annual State Agricultural Convention in December, representatives of county fairs elect State Fair Boards.
We could start with the governor and AgSec. Then work thru this link:

Perhaps they could make a stand condemning such a hateful statement. After all, Pennsylvania sports organizations haven't been coming off too well in the PR dept. lately.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Jerome Bettis joined Obama for part of his bus tour through Pennsylvania. Today, Steelers owner and chairman Dan Rooney announced his support.
"True sports fans know that you support your team even when they are the underdogs. Barack Obama is the underdog here but it is with great pride that I join his team," Rooney writes in a "Dear Pennsylvanians" letter released by the Obama campaign.

The Romney campaign is resorting to the typical super-right wing characterization, whether true or not, "you're hateful", "you hate America", "you're not patriotic" etc. etc. any time they see someone who doesn't blindly agree with their viewpoint.

my grandson, son and I were in a shoestore. The grandson was 2 and a half.
Hank Williams Jr. (I learned later but at first was clueless about who it was making noise) was on the store's intercom.
Suddenly the little one tugged on his Dad's sleeve and said: "Daddy, turn off that music. Is really sucks."
A little later: "Daddy, this music is making me sick".
Suddenly, still a little later, he was on HIS BACK, on the floor, curled in a fetal hug:"Daddy, call an ambulance, I told you this music was making me sick."
It's one of my favorite grandson tales.

(39,451 posts)Hillary made a comment about Queen Ann. And oh the outrage that followed!!!
She wasn't working for the Obama campaign when she said it - but she was labelled a very bad person.
Or maybe the Dixie Chicks would be a more similar situation.
True - Natalie Maines said what she did on 'foreign' soil - but what she said was NOTHING in comparison to this anti-American bullshit.

Mister Ed
(5,927 posts)...when Natalie Maines said she was embarrassed to hail from the same state as President Bush.
That was a legitimate political statement, and it was the truth. She did feel embarrassed by Bush.
Williams' statement, by comparison is false, filthy, hateful, and yes, un-American and un-patriotic. I hope the country music industry, and country music fans, will not support Williams after condemning The Dixie Chicks.

(10,494 posts)by the time of the concert he was smashed and belligerent. He tried to play a few songs and was terrible. When the crowd started yelling for ZZ, he cussed us out, spit on the cameraman, and walked off. Ironic he supports the Steelers, Iron City was killed when cheap Japanese steel put them out of business. Ronnie Raygun allowed it to happen. Very ironic, huh?

(82,383 posts)Why would Obama hate a country that elected him POTUS? Disagreement on economic and social issues does not mean you "hate" anything. It shows they try to claim "America" for themselves. Farming? That's a new one. Equally ridiculous.
