He's playing the "women bring it upon themselves" card. This kind of back-handed misogyny has got to stop. Even conservatives are all "Hold on there, buddy!" There may be a chance.

(29,192 posts)a legitimate rape doesn't result in pregnancy, therefore if you are claiming that you need an abortion because you were "raped", well that's means that you weren't really raped, you are simply claiming that you were raped so that the state will allow you to have the "exception case"... but you only got pregnant because your body wanted to get pregnant from the consensual sex... your claim of "rape" is illegitimate.
That's how I read the twisted logic here...
about the sickest thing I've read in a very long time.

(34,582 posts)a victim of rape when she ran track at UT Arlington. The school swept it under the rug, because the accused was their star and she had had a few drinks. When people like this asshole say shit like that, it makes my blood boil. To this day, 20 something years later, if I knew who did it I would ensure he would NEVER do it again.

(5,012 posts)That "legitimate" part is saying:
1) Women lie about rape
2) No doesn't really mean no
Claiming that pregnancies resulting from rape are rare or nearly impossible means that any woman who becomes pregnant after sex really wanted to have sex even if she said no.
