Just as Rep. Akin. He knows all about these things. So does Rep. Ryan.

The two of them sponsored a bill that defined rape quite narrowly in order to outlaw as many abortions as possible.

These guys are not going to survive this one. I keep saying that, but it doesn't do any good. The Repugs keep plunging deeper into god only knows what. Justly when you think you have the measure of them, they get just a bit more crazy.

I cannot believe that a vast plurality of the populace doesn't see this. These guys are fucking out of their minds.

The only way Ryan gets to the White House is if Romney is elected and either dies, is impeached, or is somehow unable to serve.

There is no way Romney's stepping aside before the convention. He will be nominated, with Ryan as Veep. Republicans know, unlike some here, that they are stuck with Mitt as he is. To replace him now would assure an Obama sweep. It would only be portrayed as the Republicans as a disorganized rabble. That would have significant repercussions down ticket.

They will replace Ryan long before they'd dare admit that Romney is wrong. Mitt will go all the way, with or without Ryan. Anyway, there is no procedure to replace Romney. He's the nominee. Period.
